Chaithanya Mallikarjun, M.D.
Dr. Mallikarjun (Mal-i-car-jun) is a board-certified gastroenterologist. She joined Stone Oak Gastroenterology after completing her gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship at Tulane University Medical Center, New Orleans, LA.
Known as "Dr. M," she treats patients with all types of GI issues. She believes that your GI tract is a mirror of overall health. Dr. M has a special interest in helping female patients with their gastrointestinal needs. Her mission is to reduce colon cancer by detecting the disease early and educating patients about the importance of screening colonoscopies.
Before she did her GI fellowship, she worked as a transplant hepatologist at Tulane University Medical Center where she provided care to patients with liver diseases. Dr. M completed her transplant hepatology training at Ochsner Medical Center, New Orleans, LA.
Dr. M is originally from Southern India. She is an avid sports fan and is a state level sprinter champion. Now she calls San Antonio her home with all of its wonderful people and culture. Dr. M loves to cook, her passion for nutrition is what originally sparked her interest in gastroenterology. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.

The food is so fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious! Plus the staff is so warm and welcoming! This is mine and my husband's new favorite place and will be going weekly. Please when you go do not skip dessert their Tres Leches it is to die for!!! Vegetarian options: Vegetarian burrito, quesadilla, rice & beans, salad Parking: Montes is located in Seaside Heights NJ so in the winter you will have no problem finding parking. Summer time can be a little rough, but parking a few blocks away and walking there is totally worth it!

I am a Gringo, but kind of an expert with Mexican Food. And my Spouse is from Mexico. We ate here Sunday,11/24/24, around 5:00 p.m., it was our first visit. The food was very good! Pros: On Street Parking;free this time of year, BYOB, clean appearance, Nice decor!, clean bathroom. Server was very efficient, listened and was friendly. Food: Salsas Roja y Verde were good! Could be a bit more spicy ( pica ). Salsa Chipotle was very good, smokey / spicy. Burrito de pollo had much flavor! Torta de Tinga Pollo Chipotle was very good! Guacamole was fresh and very tasty!!! Reasonable prices! Cons: Dining area has close seating if sitting in booth tables. A little less salt in the Burrito would be better. I would recommend this place to friends and family!!! Definitely try the Guacamole. See pics.
