Westover Hills Clinic – San Antonio, TX

I come to this SAGA Westover hills location regularly. Dr Kevin Franklin diagnosed my idiopathic Gastroparesis pretty quickly 2 years ago. I had to wait a couple months to be seen, but I was dealing with my GI issues for almost 2 years so a couple months wait was worth it when I finally had an answer. With just one important question he narrowed down my differential diagnosis. He ordered a endoscopy (within weeks) which confirmed my Gastroparesis. With metoclopramide and omeprazole my symptoms improved, as well as my quality of life. After my diagnosis, maybe about 8 months later, I was having upper right quadrant abdominal pain and was seen at my PCP, who ordered a CT and found nothing remarkable. I then scheduled an appointment with Dr Franklins PA, Jennifer Martinez, and she told me my symptoms were typical for gallbladder disease, and she ordered a CCK imaging test, which confirmed my gallbladder functioning at 3%. She then recommended me for a cholecystectomy with Dr Vargas. I was scheduled for surgery about 4 months after my initial symptom onset. I have since been so much better. She sees me at regular follow ups and put me on a prescription probiotic which has helped all of my GI symptoms as well. I am so glad I found this practice and the medical team that has helped me tremendously. The front desk is always so kind and professional as well. I’ve never had an issue here, just typical wait times for a doctors office, nothing too crazy. I’ve never waited hours to be seen or anything.
